The Thinning Veil, Fiber, and the Art of Letting Go

I know you are challenging me to make a connection about these three very different things:  The yearly thinning veil, Fiber, and the art of letting go.

But if you know me…you know I love a challenge.

First off, this is my absolute favorite time of year.  This wispy wonderland of illusory images and thought, of ghosts and the suspense of belief if even for a moment.

The rest of the year we have no problem ignoring what we don’t readily see, but these few yummy days or senses are just slightly more attuned and in that attenuation we notice the little things…that way our skin prickles when nothing seems to be around.  Or the way we thought we saw something, but on second glance…no it was nothing.  Of course my personal favorite is how easy it is to tap into the intuition that runs like water through my being.

There is this weird acknowledgement among us, this time of year, that it’s just easier to let go of what we KNOW and open up to what we DON’T.

And of course I love putting on my blue wig 🙂

That moves us into Fiber.  (tee-hee).  Do you know what fiber is for?  I mean why people suggest you have high levels of it?  First off it’s important to know there are two types of fiber:  Soluble and Insoluble.  And you need both.  Soluble breaks down into a gel like substance.  And Insoluble doesn’t break down at all but actually bulks up with water.  Do you see why both are important?  One is the sailboat, and one is the water….

And if you eat enough of these fibers then you reduce the risk of so many things:  First you are pulling toxins out through your stool faster which is absolutely important for every aspect of your health and immunity.  And this time of year, we all need as much integrity in our immunity as we can gather.

Next you are lowering the risks for colon cancer and other digestive concerns.  In my world, digestion is strongly linked energetically with the third chakra…and the third chakra is a strong indicator of your emotional needs and the boundaries that let you know if you are paying attention or not. Your digestion is your personal balance regulator…and if something is up, you know it.  Now adding Fiber to your diet won’t heal the emotional needs, but it will give you a solid base to start making good inquiry into what is bothering you.

When you identify your needs and stop this latent imbalance amping up in your body, and you learn to let go more readily, you have more freedom and energy for life.  You know that saying, “Change isn’t easy.”  This is what they are talking about.

And so, magical Elisha makes it to her final link, Letting Go.  It is the season my friends.  And the stars and planets around us are supporting this energy with such grace right now.  As the leaves let go of the trees, or the trees let go of the leaves, so do we let go of what no longer serves us.

What is adding to our lives, and what is draining us?  What is making us float and what feels like it’s making us sink?  What is getting stopped up and what is flowing through?

Take the energy that is all around you right now and float…and as you float, see what weighs you down as if it’s on it’s own boat, and allow it to simply float away.  Wishing it well on it’s journey but freeing up space for yours.

The veil is thinning friends…what new thoughts are surrounding you?  Now is the time to pay attention. Now is the time to let go.
