Hungry?

I was just thinking about this really interesting metaphor. And it came down to the idea of sides. When you’re at a restaurant or even at your home there’s a main course and then there are the sides, right?

The sides are distractions. When you’re a kid, putting the peas in the mashed potatoes is a distraction from the main event. And I feel that’s where we are right now.

The sides are the players. They are the things that are outside of us that we think are making our lives better or worse. But all it’s doing is distracting us from the main course.

We are the main course.

You and you and you and you. Each and every one of us is our own main course and we are ignoring that and paying attention to all of the side dishes that are very loudly presenting themselves to us.

Some are yucky peas. And some are yummy mashed potatoes. But the truth is they are not what we should be concentrating on. What am I talking about?

The main course is you.

Everything that you are experiencing outside of you is your side dish and everything that you’re experiencing inside of you is your main course. And I suggest making it the best main course you have ever wanted to eat in your entire life!

How do you do this?

I wish I could say it was easy. It’s not.

It involves a journey of looking at yourself in a way you’ve never seen yourself before. I’m teaching classes about this right now and I’m trying to get technological enough to make a webinar about it as well. Because I want everyone to enjoy the main course of their dreams! And the only way to do that is to find the neutrality inside of yourself that allows you to see you as you are andan allows you to see everybody else as they are and not judge it.

And I know there are those of you out there who are thinking,” but Elisha, are you looking at what’s happening right now in our country?” And yes, I am looking very closely at what’s happening to our country. And every time I see something I don’t like I find the root of it inside of myself. And it’s not easy. And it takes a lot of soul-searching. And it takes some really brutal honesty with myself. I have to come to terms with my own racism and sexism. My own anti-Semitism and my own bullying Nature.

All of these things exist inside of me. All of these things that I’m seeing outside mirror for me what I’m feeling inside. I’m just not listening so they grab a megaphone and make me hear it loud and clear and with authority!

So here’s my suggestion.
If you don’t like what you’re seeing outside of yourself, find the root of it inside of yourself and clear it. Pray. Dance. Sing. Write. Whatever it takes to come to terms with your demons that are buried so deep you don’t even know you have them. Otherwise, your life will never shine through. Not to the extent that having the most perfect steak on the planet perfectly prepared would do, with homemade horseradish…hot! Or for the vegetarians out there some vegetable dish that I can’t get super creative about right now.

All this is to say I am so excited that we are having this opportunity right now to focus on ourselves in the most profound way. That we are having the opportunity to be shown the parts of us that before now we were unable to see. I am so grateful that I get to walk on this beautiful planet at this time with all you beautiful souls who are trying so hard to come into your highest power and most brilliant light.

And for the record, I love peas!

More information about this can be found on corelight.com. This is a wonderful resource and these ideas were sparked in me by a book called the marriage of Spirit which you will find on their website. The teachings I’m doing are around what I have learned in this book and how it has completely changed and shifted my life and my experience to my own life.

I know you can do this. I know you want to do this…even if you don’t know it yet.

For more information about this stay tuned. I will put up the link to the webcast when I make it.

Peace. Out.
